Delete your Penspoke account

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Penspoke is a LetterCircuit app, operated by H4CF2, LLC.

Delete your account from the app

  1. Open Penspoke and sign in.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

When you confirm, your account closes right away and you are signed out. Your saved recipient list is stored on your device, not on our servers; the app clears it from your device at once, and it does not come back if we restore your account. We hold your account in a recycle bin for 30 days. If you contact us within those 30 days, we can restore it. After 30 days, we permanently delete it and it cannot be recovered. If you would rather we erase it sooner than 30 days, you can ask us and we will, subject to legal and tax holds.

If you cannot open the app

If you cannot sign in or open the app, you can still ask us to delete your account. You can reach us through the contact form at penspoke.com/contact. Tell us the email address on your account so we can find and delete it. We will verify the request is yours before we act on it.

What we permanently delete

When the 30-day window ends, we permanently delete:

  • your profile fields: your name and email address;
  • the recipient details held on your orders;
  • your card messages;
  • any card front you uploaded.

Your saved recipient list lives on your device, not on our servers. The app removes it from your device as soon as you delete your account, and we never hold a separate copy of your address book.

What we keep, and why

A card that has already been written or mailed cannot be recalled. So for cards already written we keep the order and payment record as a redacted record, with the recipient details, the billing details, and your message erased from it. We keep these redacted records for seven years from the date of the order, to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations, and then delete them; where the law places a record under a legal or tax hold, we keep it for as long as that hold requires. This cannot be undone. We also keep one internal deletion record that counts what was removed; it holds no name, email, or address.

An order you placed but we had not yet written

If you had placed and paid for a card that we had not yet started writing when you deleted your account, we pause that order. We do not write or mail it during the 30-day recovery window. If you ask us to restore your account within those 30 days, the order is restored with it, and you can go on to send it or cancel it. If the 30 days pass and your account is permanently deleted, we cancel the unwritten order and refund what you paid for it. We handle that refund by hand, so allow a few days for it to reach your original payment method.
